We Love French Knickers! posted on 15th January 2018

Ah, the French Knicker. Is there anything more lovely adorning a peachy behind?

Maybe it’s the soft delicate lace appealing to our senses, or maybe it’s the perfectly arching shape created at the rear, which allows each cheek to sit round and proud either side. Or it could be the fact that such a luxurious and elegant fabric (synonymous with wealth, innocence and class) can make anyone’s booty appear so deliciously naughty.

Whatever the reason, we love the lacy look from across the pond, and we’re willing to bet you do, too.

Like all good things, the modern French knicker has undergone hundreds of years of evolution, originating as drawers, the baggy long-legged underwear made famous by the Victorians.

Considered healthier and more comfortable than tight briefs, French knickers may have derived their name from the fabulously frilly underwear sported by Can-Can dancers of Paris in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Despite a mainstream decline in the early 1900s, the wearing of such luxurious French lace knickers was revolutionised in the 1960sby designer Janet Reger.

Today the French knicker is well and truly alive and kicking, providing an elegant yet sexy look for those wanting to leave a little to their lover’s imagination…Ooh-la-la!

Love,
