We are so excited to reveal that we have been back to filming this week on our latest JoyBear feature. Our gorgeous performers have been busy in Spain creating some erotic scenes that you are going to love. I am personally extra excited because this feature focusses on something very close to my heart - the word slut.

What does the word slut mean to you? A slut is defined as (derogatory) : a woman who has many casual sexual partners. A slut is also a woman who is sexually promiscuous. Notice how in these definitions they only apply to women. What about men who are sexually promiscuous and have many partners? I think we all know what people say about them - that they are a stud, that women want to be with them and that other men want to be them. Certainly no shaming.

The word slut can have many negative connotations for a girl or woman, someone who 'gets around' and is 'easy'. Being called a slut can certainly be an insult. However, recently it has been really inspiring to see people reclaiming this word, notably with things like SlutWalk, a movement calling for an end to rape culture, including victim blaming and slut shaming of sexual assault victims. Recognising the practice of slut-shaming is helping us to reclaim the word slut and also to take control and agency over our sexuality. I personally feel so strongly that all women should have the power of choice, to do what they want when they want, with no worry of being judged. If you are not hurting others, you should be free to live your life as truly to yourself as you possibly can, it is then that we can see the true beauty and uniqueness of ourselves and others.

I would love to open up discussion about the word slut and explore the different connotations and meanings that it has for others and myself. Comments and questions are very welcomed.
