Joybear Raises Money for Mencap The well known journalist, Kate Spicer, who appeared as an extra in our latest film, Match Mates, has a brother called Tom. Tom suffers from Fragile X syndrome, the most common form of inherited learning disability. He is also a huge Metallica fan, especially Lars Ulrich, the drummer. Both Kate and her other brother, Will, have made Tom a promise - they will get him to meet Lars. Oh and they're going to film the whole thing. On Sat 28th Nov 2009, Joybear donated an 'extra part' in their next film as an auction prize to raise awareness for Mencap & money for the film and we are delighted to say one lucky bidder paid 1800 pounds for the privilege. We are extremely proud to be involved in this worthy project and hope Tom has an amazing time with his idol, Lars. Have a wicked time Tom!! CLICK HERE for more info. |
